Six promises for AI that spends your money

An AI that can buy things for you needs a higher bar than an AI that writes poems. These are the commitments every Shopr product is built on.

The Shopr Team

Shopr Journal

When software gets the power to spend money, the stakes change. A chatbot that gets a fact wrong is annoying. An agent that buys the wrong thing, or the right thing from the wrong seller, costs you real money and real trust.

So before we shipped a single feature, we wrote down the promises every Shopr product has to keep.

1. You approve every purchase

No Shopr agent will ever complete a purchase without your explicit confirmation. You set spending limits, preferred stores and payment rules, and they're enforced in code, not just in policy.

2. We show our work

Every recommendation comes with its reasons: the prices compared, the reviews considered, the trade-offs made. If we can't explain a recommendation, we shouldn't make it.

3. Rankings aren't for sale

Stores can't pay to rank higher in Shopr. If we earn a referral commission on a purchase, we'll tell you, and it will never change the order of results.

4. Your data stays yours

We collect only what each feature needs, we never sell personal data and you can delete everything with one request. Payment card numbers never touch our systems.

5. We're honest about uncertainty

Forecasts are probabilities, not promises. When Pulse says a price is likely to fall, it tells you how likely. When Fit recommends a size, it tells you how confident it is.

6. We fix our mistakes

Software will get things wrong. When ours does, we'll make it right for you, and we'll fix the system so it doesn't happen again.

Trust isn't a feature you ship once. It's a promise you keep every time.

We'll hold ourselves to these publicly. If you ever see us fall short, tell us.
